In a strange turn of events, an alchemist had accidentally performed an experiment that somehow separated their shadow from themselves. Now disconnected, the two must find a way to recombine into one entity through alchemy.

Shadow Synthesis is a Puzzle-Platformer where the goal is to brew various potions through a series of single-screen puzzles. This game takes a hands-off approach to puzzle design, so try experimenting around and figuring things out for yourself. There are 5 levels total that slowly increase in difficulty as you progress through them. Sometimes you might need to think outside of the box or brew a different potion first before you can make a path to the solution. Remember that sometimes you'll have to salt your mushrooms and other times you'll have to mushrooms your salt.

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated! This is the first 'big project' I've done in Godot and I was focused on learning about game dev in a software that is new to me. More of a game designer and artist than a sound designer, so there is no audio as I spent the entirety of the time that I had working on making sure the game felt as good as possible and it still feels kinda like a potato to play and the animations aren't that good. Still, I learned a lot about game dev in Godot and I plan on experimenting more with the engine in my free time. Thanks for taking the time to play!
